ACADIAN HAYESVILLE EXTENSION PROJECT

The Acadian - Haynesville Gas Pipeline Construction Project with 42” and 36” pipeline is an extension of the Enterprise Pipeline’s existing “Acadian” system. The new pipeline system consists of approximately 256 miles of pipe. The system begins in Red River Parish, LA, runs through DeSoto, Natchitoches, Rapides, Avoyelles, St. Landry, Pointe Coupee, Iberville and Assumption Parishes terminating approximately 10 miles southwest of the town of Donaldsonville, LA.

The project is broken into 3 major Segments with a proposed total of 5 Spreads. Segment 1 encompasses Spread 1 and Spread 2, Segment 2 encompasses Spread 3 and Spread 4, and Segment 3 encompasses Spread 5. The respective approximate lengths of the spreads are as follows: Spread 1 ~ 41.15 miles of 42” and 2.5 miles of 36” and 2.5 miles of 20”, Spread 2 (42”) ~ 64.82 miles; Spread 3 (42”) ~ 36.2 miles, Spread 4 (36”) ~ 60.2 miles and Spread 5 (36”) 48.44 miles.
ABOUT
Each Spread contained several horizontal directional drills for road/highway/railroad, and water crossings. Our scope of work was to complete six drills ranging from 1500 feet to 2200 feet of 42” steel pipe under highways, rivers and wetlands. Chisholm Services completed all drills with minimal issues and on time.
